Recent Works
- Many new solo and ensemble works for David Heyes/Recital Music, including:
- Double bass quartets in memory of: Alfred Wainwright (legendary fell-walker and illustrator), Jean Sibelius, John Wayne, Elgar.
- Construction of a concerto movement for double bass and orchestra from a four-bar fragment of unaccompanied melody, believed to be by Haydn
- Series of short, jazzy, suites for double bass, harpsichord and strings, in the nature of Vivaldi's Four Seasons.
- String works for Wells Cathedral School
- Jazz trio version of Free Spirit performed in a series of recitals in San Fransisco by vocalist Kay Andreas Kostopoulos, Lenny Carlson, guitar, and Barry Green, bass, February 2007
- Duo-Concertante version of Blue-Suite performed by Miloslav Jelinek, double bass, Marcela Jelinkova, Piano, with the strings and percussion of the Brno Philharmonic, May 2007
